ALBERT FERNANDEZ

Born in California’s Central Valley to parents who started as migrant farmworkers, Albert Fernandez’s journey into the entertainment industry began by acting in commercials at just fifteen.

Seeking to create opportunities for underrepresented voices, he became the first generation of his family to attend college; studying Film & TV Production at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Post-graduation, Albert interned at The White House where he won a speechwriting competition and had the honor of introducing now President Joe Biden. After his time with the Obama Administration, he returned to the West Coast where The Producers Guild, CBS, and the Moving Picture Institute named Albert as one of their fellows for their respective diversity workshops. A passionate topic of his, Albert worked alongside Congressman Joaquin Castro on advocating for legislative initiatives to increase equity & inclusion in Hollywood.

As the Pandemic encouraged him to innovate, Albert is currently an MBA student in the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) where he was recently honored to be selected as a Visiting Lecturer of Entrepreneurship to the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow, Russia.
